Biography

The knowledge gained through Bible study brought Oleg Sirotkin's family together and helped him and his wife raise their daughters. Today, the head of the family is subjected to criminal prosecution for his peaceful religious views.

Oleg was born in June 1964 in Yaroslavl. He has a younger sister. As a child, Oleg was an active child, sport was an integral part of his life: he was engaged in sports and athletic gymnastics, cycling, sambo, skiing. Oleg also loved to read, was enrolled in three libraries.

After school, Oleg entered the Yaroslavl Technical University, where was educated as a chemist-technologist, and then, many years later, he underwent retraining and received a diploma in marketing. Oleg started his career as an engineer for commissioning and commissioning of chemical production equipment, then worked as a shift foreman and deputy shop manager. Now he is a paint and varnish sales manager at a chemical plant.

In 1997 Oleg moved to Tambov for work. Before that, he lived for some time in the city of Volzhsky, Volgograd Region.

Oleg has an adult daughter from his first marriage. In 2000, he married Nataliya, whom he met at the Tambov theater. She is a fashion designer by profession. In addition, she independently mastered the restoration of shoes. Nataliya's hobbies include fashion illustration, video editing, cooking and dancing. She also gladly helps her husband in plastering and tiling. In his spare time, Oleg likes to make something with his own hands for the home, he dreams of mastering welding.

Oleg and Nataliya raised two daughters from her first marriage. Both girls are already adults and live separately. Darya promotes websites, plays the ukulele and takes pictures. Iraida is a web designer who loves to travel, do home improvement and gardening with her husband.

In 2007, Oleg and Nataliya decided to embark on the Christian path together. Seven years earlier, Oleg began his acquaintance with the Bible. He was shocked that this book did not support the doctrine of a fiery hell. He was also impressed by the wisdom of the biblical counsel. Oleg says: “Nataliya's daughters became my family thanks to the fact that before going to bed I read to them about Jesus. We talked a lot, and communication led to a trusting relationship.” When the girls grew up, they also decided to live according to biblical principles. The whole Sirotkin family loved to go out of town, go skiing, spend evenings with friends.

The persecution of Oleg had a negative impact on the health of his wife. Nataliya is on disability group III after a major operation, and the criminal case against her husband has added stress. Oleg's mother, who shares her son's views on life, relatives and friends sympathize with the believer and support him.

Case History

In March 2021, security forces put Oleg Sirotkin, a peaceful believer from Tambov, under surveillance: audio recording was made in the living room, and screenshots were taken on computers every 10 seconds. Six months later, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against him on charges of organizing the activities of an extremist organization - this is how the investigator interpreted the fact that Sirotkin conducted worship services and kept in touch with fellow believers. Oleg’s house was searched, after which he was interrogated and placed on recognizance not to leave. The believer’s car was seized. In March 2022, the case went to court.
