Biography

Sergey Malyutin was born in the village of Zuevka near Chelyabinsk in a large family—his parents had four daughters besides him. His father worked as a shepherd and cattleman, his mother worked in animal husbandry for more than forty years. Sergey's parents and two sisters are no longer alive.

Sergey's childhood was spent in nature—together with the children he played gorodki and lapta, organized bicycle and horseback races, went for mushrooms and berries. From a young age, he helped his parents with the housework: he harvested firewood, grazed calves.

While still at school, Sergey received the profession of a tractor driver of the 3rd class, so after graduation he immediately got a job as a combine operator. Later, he switched to a bulldozer, and eventually became a foreman of animal husbandry. Sergey also mastered other professions: an installer of external pipelines and a plumber. Having received the III group of disability indefinitely in 2019, he stopped working, but retained the habit of working.

From his youth, Sergey thought about how quickly life passes. "The time will come and I will be gone, and others will continue to live. I couldn't wrap my head around it," he recalls. The biblical hope for resurrection helped him to look to the future without fear. In 1990, he was baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses together with his wife Svetlana and mother-in-law.

The couple have been married since 1986. Svetlana worked as a coil winder at a factory, and later as a milkmaid. Sergey likes to work in the garden in his free time and with pleasure goes to the forest with his wife for mushrooms and berries. He also repairs household appliances in his spare time.

Sergey and Svetlana are parents of many children. They raised three sons and two daughters. Sons, like parents, like to work with their own hands and relax in nature. Daughters love animals since childhood, and also read a lot and do embroidery. The family once moved to Chelyabinsk so that the children had the opportunity to continue their education after school.

After the search in 2022, Sergey's health began to deteriorate, and his family is worried about him.
