In May 2026, the Investigative Committee for the Kurgan Region initiated a criminal case against Roman Kuchin on suspicion of extremism. His apartment in Tyumen was searched, after which the believer and his wife were taken to Kurgan for interrogation. The man was placed on recognizance agreement.
