Case History
Igor Zhukov, one of Jehovah's Witnesses from the Omsk Region, became the target of criminal prosecution for his faith when the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against him in June 2018, accusing him of organizing and financing extremist activities. In July of the same year, his house, other facilities and car were searched, during which all electronic devices were seized. In August 2019, the Zhukov case was separated into a separate proceeding from the materials of the case against other believers.
