Searches of Jehovah's Witnesses Again in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Two are Under House Arrest

On November 20, 2025, at 7 a.m., law enforcement officers came with searches at four addresses of Jehovah's Witnesses in the city of Kansk. After that, five believers were taken for interrogation. A man and a woman were placed under house arrest with tracking bracelets on their legs, while another woman was ordered not to leave her home at night.

Active religious persecution in the Krasnoyarsk Territory began in 2018, shortly after the liquidation of Jehovah's Witnesses organizations in Russia. Since then, at least 125 searches have taken place here. The last of them - for a long time in September this year. A total of 33 people from this region have been prosecuted, five are serving sentences in penal colonies.
