I want to explain how I came to this point in my life. I was born into an ordinary, simple, hardworking family. I was a good student. I entered university and everything worked out very well for me professionally, because I had been in this environment since childhood. My mother and my aunt — both doctors, pediatricians. I liked the fact that I was always with people, that I had the opportunity to help them. You see the results of your work, there is always growth, a direction to move forward, to learn something new, to study. Then — family, the birth of a child, work in emergency medical services, work that is, as they say, "with adrenaline"... graduate school, I passed the exams for graduate studies.
In psychology, there is a concept — a "programming event." A 5-year-old boy watches a movie about submarines and says: "That’s it, I will become a submariner, no matter what." I had two such events in my life. I did not grow up with my father. My dad died of a severe form of brain cancer. And my whole life I was troubled by the question: "Why?" I really needed him here, on earth, not as an angel somewhere in the sky. I lived with this thought for a long time.
