Case of Shcherbich in Neftekumsk

Case History

In December 2018, the FSB in the Stavropol Territory opened a criminal case on charges of organizing the activity of an extremist organization against four Jehovah’s Witnesses. Among them was Aleksey Shcherbich. In 2020, the man was also accused of financing the activities of an extremist organization, his case was separated into a separate proceeding. In June 2024, Shcherbich was detained and placed in a pre-trial detention center.

    Cellmates treat the believer with respect. They are impressed by the number of letters he receives. Recently, he was given several pieces at once after some delay. Shcherbich does not have his own copy of the Bible yet.

    Living conditions are acceptable: the cell is warm and there is water. The believer has his own bed.
