Lieutenant Colonel of Justice S. G. Ermolaev, senior investigator for particularly important cases of the investigative department of the FSB of Russia in the Kurgan region, initiates a case against 28-year-old Anastasia Gaitur under Article 282.2 (2) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The decision to initiate a criminal case states: "Gaytur A.A. takes part in conducting remote religious meetings of collective religious meetings for worship ... consisting of sequential actions in the performance of songs... studying and discussing articles of religious content, watching videos of religious content... with the followers of the Jehovah's Witnesses creed."
Judge of the Kurgan City Court Denis Cherkasov orders a search of Anastasia Gaitur's home.
Under the pretext that a fire allegedly started at the neighbors' house, FSB officers in masks and with machine guns
to Gaitur's apartment. The search is carried out under the leadership of investigator Ermolaev with the participation of detectives S. Y. Glushkov and A. S. Shtrekker. It lasts more than 4 hours. Electronic devices and data carriers, as well as personal notes, notes and letters, the Bible and crosswords on biblical topics were confiscated from the believer.
During the search, Anastasia's father, Aleksandr Gaitur, who is a suspect in another criminal case, is also in the apartment.
After the search, Anastasia is taken to the FSB department for interrogation, a restriction measure is chosen for her in the form of a recognizance not to leave and proper behavior.
